Accreditation
International Accreditation:
In December 2007, AUD received accreditation as a separate unit (independent of the American InterContinental University) by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award Bachelors and Masters degrees. AUD is the first and only institution outside of the US and Latin America to be granted this honor by SACS.
Previously, from its founding in 1995, and until December 2007, AUD was only accredited by SACS as a branch campus of American InterContinental University (AIU). SACS later granted AUD separate unit accreditation as a testimony to AUD's progress, both in terms of its faculty and student achievements. This newly-found independence puts AUD in the best position to become the "school of choice" for students who wish to receive a top-notch US education in the Middle East. [*]
