Ibo Show

The Ibo Show is a live Turkish variety program hosted by the singer and entertainer Ibrahim Tatlises. The show features interviews and performances by Tatlises and his guests. On the air since 1990, the Ibo Show has hosted guests ranging from pop stars to the Prime Minister. It was the first show of its kind with Tatlises introducing a unique combination of talk show and live concert every Sunday night. In December 2003, Tatlises, who is of mixed Kurdish and Arab background, Rough Guide to World Music: Africa, Europe and the Middle East, ed. Simon Broughton, Mark Ellingham, and Richard Trillo (1999), p. 409. was criticized when he sang a folk song in Kurdish on the Ibo Show. Ibrahim Tatlises is watched all over Europe via satellite and The Ibo Show provides access for an international audience to one of Turkey's greatest entertainers. Tatlises has also vowed to continue hosting Ibo Show till 2010.
